At Pine Lake Cottages we believe that your pet is as entitled to a vacation as you are, and do not object to you bringing them along with you.

We have other guests to consider, however, so we must impose a few rules for their comfort.

We do not accept exotic pets. Dogs, house cats, budgies, goldfish, etc. are welcome.  We do expect the owners to pay special attention to cleaning up food spills and to exercise care when leaving out food.  This is a country setting and there are lots of wild animals around (even if you don't see them) just waiting for some birdseed or kibbles and bits.

We do not object to large dogs provided they are are well trained.  All dogs should be kept on a leash, especially around children and other guests.

We ask dog owners in particular to respect other guests and to "introduce" their dogs to those showing an interest.

For hygiene reasons pets are not allowed on the beach although they are welcome to swim while supervised by their owners.

We do not allow pets to be confined unattended in a cabin for extended periods nor do we allow them to be chained up outside and left unattended.  If you want to bring them, then you need to look after them.

We have a large grassy area where the dogs can be allowed to run free under owner supervision.

A strict stoop and scoop policy is in effect in all areas of the site.  We can provide scoops and bags if needed.

Owners will be held responsible for any damage caused by their pets.

We notice that fewer and fewer resorts allow pets.  Please work with us so that we may continue to welcome them without inconveniencing our other guests.
